Although Verizon has announced that the BlackBerry Storm will be available as of November 14th, it seems like the Storm will be available for pre-order as of today. Well, this is not official but we all know that there is a truth in each rumor. If you deposit $50, then you will be a happy person who will get his BlackBerry 9500 Storm at the end of the month. We will keep an eye on Best Buy to see if we can pre-order one, but if you are paying more attention than us please let us know if you got your Storm!

As you already know, the BlackBerry Strom 9500 was unveiled last month and since it’s going to become available soon, we thought it would be nice to give you an update of the already dubbed “iPhone Killer.” We are aware that there were so many handsets who were nicknamed like this and the BlackBerry Storm will be just another competitor against Apple’s iPhone rather than its killer.

The BlackBerry Storm 9500 is a touchscreen handset with a new and greatly improved user interface worthy of a good smartphone. RIM decided that it was about time to develop a smartphone with a better touchscreen interface that should win the heart of handset users just like the iPhone have done it.

The Storm 9500 will be based on BlackBerry OS 4.7, 624Mhz processor, 128MB of RAM and 1GB of integrated memory, but this could be expanded up to 32GB thanks to the microSD card slot. The smartphone features BlackBerry Maps, DataViz document viewer/editor, HSDPA, EDGE/GPRS, Built-in GPS, Bluetooth, USB 2.0, and a 3.2-megapixel camera with autofocus and video recording capabilities.

The screen also resembles the one of the iPhone as at the Storm 9500 you will find a 3.25-inch display with a resolution of 360×480 in 65,000 colors. The spec list also includes a 3.5mm headphone jack, landscape and full QWERTY keyboard, full HTML browser support as well as lots of email accoung like Blackberry Enterprise, Lotus notes, IMAP4, POP3, Microsoft Exchange among others.

We all are social networking maniacs so RIM decided to load the Storm 9500 with Yahoo Messenger, Windows Live, AOL, ICQ, Facebook, MySpace and Flickr, however, you can download many other through the BlackBerry App Center.

There is plenty of battery power therefore the BlackBerry Storm 9500 should last about 5 hours of talktime and 360 hours in standby mode. The Storm 9500 will be available in a few days at cheap prices which will vary depending on the plan you will choose. As a fact, in the UK the only retailer for the smartphone will be Phones4U so you should check them out if you want a BlackBerry Storm.

It seems the Nokia E63 is not a boy’s dream anymore as someone managed to take some pictures of it or someone is messing with us and photoshopped E71 photos. The upper right logo shows us that we are speaking about an E-class Nokia phone, but we can’t say if it’s better or worse than the E71. It is said to have a 320×240 resolution display and, as we expected is running on a Symbian S60 OS. The E63 also features WiFi and 3G and the data stored on the microSD compatible memory cards can be send via Bluetooth.

Let’s say all things are looking good till now, but the fact that made me wonder if it’s true or not is that the one that made the photos available also stated that there will be three versions of the E63: E63-1 for Europe, E63-2 without a camera and more memory and the E63-3 for US. So I’m wondering when he spy-shoted the E63 was also able to ask the Nokia marketing director about the versions for varying markets?

It looks like you have waited enough for the Blackberry Bold. The phone was initially set to hit the market in summer but it was postponed several times since then. Now it’s offical the “sumer release” of Blackberry Bold will be made this autumn on November 4th. I don’t kow if it was an accident or if the price had to be revealed at the press conference, but it seems the BlackBerry Bod will be available for $299 on a two-year contract.

At the 2008 Smartphone Show, Samsung will bring lots of Symbian smartphones, however, all eyes will be turned to the Samsung INNOV8, the first and probably the best 8-megapixel camera cellphone. The 8MP INNOV8 features 2.8-inch LCD screen, 8GB or 16GB of Flash memory and an extra 16GB from a SD card slot.

Being a smartphone, HSDPA and WiFi connectivity are there and they will provide you an incredible internet experience. The spec list also includes GPS navigation, optical mouse, accelerometer, Bluetooth stereo headset, video editing, a 1200 mAh battery, FM Radio, and Bluetooth 2.0 and USB 2.0 among many, many others.

Did you pre-order a T-Mobile G1? I don’t know how to say this to you, but I there’s some good news as your Android-power handset is on it’s way. The shipping started today via UPS and some lucky customers will get their HTC Dream on October 17th and I’m sure that by October 21st, most of the users will get their handset.

October 21st is the date when the T-Mobile G1 will be available in stores and it’s actually pretty impressive that pre-orders are a priority for T-Mobile. So as soon as you get your HTC Dream please let us know how it works, especially if the Android OS is as great as we expect it to be.

Everybody loves smartphones, maybe not everybody, but nowadays we are in the era of smartphones and everytime we see one, we are like a kid with a toy. Well, here’s the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 getting unboxed on a video. Though you’re not going to hold it in your hand, it’s fun to watch, and it’s even cooler as the XPERIA X1 is kinda compared with the HTC Touch Pro. Personally, I prefer the Touch Pro. LG has announced that they will release the Prada II in the next few weeks or at the beginning of November. The smartphone will be QWERTY slider with a 5-megapixel camera with Schneider-Kreuznach lens, and 7.2Mbps HSDPA 850/2100 band.

The LG Prada II will also feature Wi-Fi, TV-Out, 3G with video calling, FM Radio and full HTML browser among others. The phone looks cool and all that, but the price is a little too high, about €600 or $816. Well, LG announced that the handset will be available on the European market, as for the US market, the company didn’t say anything.

It seems like BlackBerry wants to break all the records and to sell the most smartphones ever as they prepare to launch another one: the BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8220. It was unveiled a while ago, but so far we didn’t know when it was going to be launched, however, it will be out in a few days so here is a preview of BlackBerry’s latest smartphone.

The BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8220 features Wi-Fi, media player, wireless email, BlackBerry Maps, but sadly there’s no GPS. The Pearl measures 3.98×1.97×0.69 inches and it weighs about 3.6 ounces, and there’s enough space for a QWERTY keyboard, 3.5mm headphone jack, and Bluetooth 2.0 among others.

The screen is a 2.6-incher with a resolution of 240 x 320, and you will enjoy your apps thanks to 128MB of flash memory with expandable MicroSD card slot. Well, the smartphone looks good, and for the moment I could think of only one flaw: the 2-megapixel camera is simply awful. Hopefully, RIM will work on this feature in the near future as I want future versions of BlackBerry Pearl Flip to have a great camera.

Well, as the T-Mobile G1 was unveiled and it’s going to be available for users in a few days, I thought I could give you an insight of the smartphone. The HTC Dream will feature QUALCOMM 528 MHz processor, 192 MB of RAM, 256 MB of ROM, and it will work on quad-band GSM 850/900/1800/190, and dual-band UMTS 1700/2100.

As any T-Mobile G1 review should start with the connectivity then you should know that it will work great as the call quality is really impressive and thanks to the loud speaker, you will be able to hear your friends. Why am I saying this? Because other HTC devices are lousy in this area and it has to be really quiet around you so that you can have a nice chat.

The T-Mobile G1 measures 4.6×2.2×0.7 inches and it weighs only 5.6 ounces which is really great as everybody expected it to be heavier, however, we can call it a lightweight smartphone. The HTC Dream will be powered by Google’s Android OS which works great and the Android Market is as better as the AppStore that Apple designed for the iPhone.

The HTC Dream review continues with the 3.2-inch touchscreen in 65k colors which sports a resolution of 320×480. The touchscreen is very responsive like on all HTC devices and I could say that it’s better than the iPhone’s TS. I have to say that I’m not that pleased with the battery, as the talk time stands at about 400 min and it could last up to 402 hours in standby mode.

There are a few downsides of the T-Mobile G1 as there is only a sliding QWERTY keyboard without virtual QWERTY, the lack of a 3.5mm headphone jack really annoys me, and apparently the video playback is really poor as it doesn’t support .mpg and .wmv files.

Well, let’s wait for the HTC Dream, or T-Mobile, depending on how you wanna call it to come out and let me know how your smartphone works!
