Gadgets Of The Future - Virtual Goggles

Virtual Goggles

Normally, everybody would admire the beauty of this girl, but you can’t ignore those futuristic goggles worn by this personal assistant of the future. In the vision of Franz Steiner from Blutsbrueder, in the future we will not need a desktop, headset or pens, as they will be replaced by these virtual goggles. Hopefully, this girl won’t be replaced by a robot and she will wear the cool goggles which could also feature speakers and internet access.

Yuk! WAY too much stuff on my face– feel claustrophobic just looking at it. Plus i’ll bet it’s hot and you sweat under it. Looks aren’t everything.

Kick ass! I’d like to see a bit of a tint going on, it would be awesome if there were a way to have it phase from one shade to another depending on available light like those transitions lenses, only sweeter colours like blue green and black.

Goggles that large? Unlikey besides the 1st generation or proto-type.
Goggles at all soon after that? Unlikely. Developer labs are already working on things such peer-perspective sound, and 3D video without the glasses. Also are virtual keyboards. Some military even have virtual control panels sensitive the area where the pilot puts his finger.. no real buttons.. With all of this, something as simple as a head band. and “peer positonal perspective” making holograms that are interactive “veritual buttons” ect .. this alone will make the goggles obsolete all too soon

And if you want to make some really crazy predictions, maybe, in the future, people won’t automatically assume all secretarial work will be done by women!
Of course, the same would be true if you were willing to go back in time instead of forward, because until the world wars, secretarial work was considered highly important and much too difficult a job to allow a woman to do.

The perfect machine for gamers, who absolutely hate things like tactile feedback. No, wait, gamers love their keyboards, mice, and gamepads. Those ain’t going away any time soon. Goggles like this would make a kickass display, but a horrible computer.

That’s amazingly cool and groovy! I wonder how far in the future something like these goggles are? How would you input information? Just by talking?
