With every firmware update for iPhone or iPod Touch problems occur and the users report them as they did with the last iPhone and iPod Touch update. When users tried to run the Pwnage tool on their aluminium MacBooks as it was unable to syncronize and recognize the iPhone or iPod Touch when in DFU mode. The problem reported is a major one as the DFU mode is highly required for jailbraking.
It seems like several users who pre-modified firmwares created on Mac or Windows managed to restore the iPhones or iPods Touch to jailbroken state. So I believe this sort of problems will be solved shortly as they come as a result of the hardware updates of the new MacBook and because of the tough competition Apple has nowadays.
