The gigantic commercials-displaying sign is being constructed in Times Square from New York and will be 212 feet high. Weighting 250,000 pounds, the massive billboard should display high resolution videos due to the 12 million LEDs it will contain.
The digitally advanced supersign will show ads of the Walgreen Company, the largest pharmacy chain in the US. With an area of no less than 43,720 square feet, it’d better sell one or two medicines… The whole construction has a completion deadline set next fall, when will be completely illuminated for the first time.
