As you probably now, E3 has begun and already Sony has announced that they will cut down the price of the 80GB PS3 to about $400. This pricing will be available as of September and the 80GB PS3 “will have the current functionality” as the 40GB PS3 one.
We’re not sure about this but we think that the 40GB PS3 will receive some extra-capacity as we can forget about backwards compatibility.
The 80GB PS3 will have the same pricing as a 60GB Xbox 360 and a Xbox Live membership therefore you should take your time and choose wisely. There is a lot of time until September so we’ll see how it works then.
