I’m sure that you have updated your PSP with the 5.0 firmware, but have you ever thought about the next generation of Sony’s PSP? What it would look like? Well, I didn’t either as the PSP looks great the way it does now, but designer Tai Chiem didn’t agree with me so he decided to create the future PSP.

The PSP2 would feature a flexible OLED display which can be rolled so that you can carry your toy like a candy-bar or a pipe. The sound will be provided by stereo speakers integrated on the either side of the PSP, and it seems like there will be also two joysticks.

I’m not even sure if will ever see something like this, but I like it so I really hope that Sony will develop Tai Chiem’s next-gen PSP. It’s truly “like no other.”

DANG! Did u not get what this article said? This is still on its conceptualizing stage - it’s only an “imaginary” PSP2 and may or may NOT go into production in the future…

I think this design is possible for a futuristic mp4 player but not a portable console. The handheld system require graphic card, core and cooling system. The design shown above only possible for a screen. Also I’ve seen no d-pad nor 4 xy.. buttons. I think this design will cost at least $800 since this is a very new technology for a bending super flat screen. I think the next psp, psp2 will be a combination of iTouch and PSP, but with enhanced next generation graphic. The next-gen psp will have a good camera, microphone, sensitive touch screen, another pair of shoulder buttons and probably a second analog. The new shoulder buttons will resembled triggers. The whole system will look like an enhanced ps3 controller with touch screen. Also, it will have 4/8/16 GB hard drive built in and memory card reader built in which will give it a huge capacity to store games, music, videos, etc… If the graphic is excellent, at least have to look like a small version of ps3, short loading times, the system will cost more than the psp-2000 $100 to $150 which is a reasonable price for such a revolutionized system.

nice concept…but I think it will need extra time to do experiment making such that design.
