Sony VGNNR31JS - The Ideal Laptop When You Cannot Afford A MacBook

Sony VGNNR31JS

Here’s a great laptop, actually not that great, but the fact that it’s cheaper than a MacBook really makes me to want it for Christmas. What more could you ask during this economical crisis? Well, I’m telling you this is enough for me. It’s called Sony VGNNR31JS and it has been “refurbished” with VAIO quality which means that it’s full of style.

I have to say that I’m kinda disappointed by the 1.86Ghz Intel Pentium Dual-Core processor because as you all know, Intel will launch the ultra-fast Core i7 processors in the Q1 of 2009. Besides that, I would be very satisfied with the 250GB HDD, 2GB of DDR2, and with the 15.4-inch WXGA LCD display. Another advantage is the great graphics card, a NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GT GPU with a max. memory of 512MB.

Other than that, the Sony VGNNR31JS feature 4 x USB 2.0 ports, built-in modem, Integrated Wireless LAN, 802.11a/b/, built-in stereo speakers, and DVD+-RW/+-R DL/RAM optical drive.

This laptop costs about $578. Like I said cheaper than a MacBook, but this is it when we can’t afford something - we try to find something cheaper.
