As you know Apple is working hard to improve their services for the iPhone and now they are preparing to launch the iPhone firmware 2.1 as they seeded the Beta 4 of this software update to developers. You shouldn’t be surprised that the firmware update is described as for “bug fixes” because Apple always says that.

The push notification service that was first introduced in iPhone firmware 2.1 Beta 1 has been pulled from this release “for further development.” This is a good thing because this service is really great as it allows your iPhone applications to receive background notifications even if they are not running. We hope that until Apple releases it in September the push service will work perfectly.
