TouchKit

Everybody loves touchscreens and how could they not do that? I mean, they are very easy to use and they are interactive so you cannot do anything but enjoy them. One of the things that had an important role in building up a good reputation for touchscreens was the iPhone because people experienced something that they didn’t see before.

For the moment, touchscreens are not so advanced but until the Microsoft Surface will be launched, here is a multitouch kit designed by NOR_/D, or Nortd, which provides you a cheap open source where you can run your own multitouch apps or whatever tricks you want to do on it.

It’s called TouchKit and it’s available now for about $1580, and it features a 70×50cm multitouch screen, an infrared camera, and a software kit. Well, to make it work you also need a PC, an external projector and C++ knowledge. Enjoy the video and if you are willing to buy it, tell us if it feels good!
