Android Navigation Buttons Getting a Makeover?
Android Navigation Buttons Getting a Makeover?
The guys at AndroidPolice have received a new image of what they claim could be the new Android navigation buttons in the Nexus 2016 phones. This new navigation bar seen in the image below might be introduced with the HTC Nexus Marlin and Sailfish and may also be seen in other stock Android N devices.
Citing a “reliable source”, the report says that the upcoming HTC Nexus 2016 phones might get a navigation bar makeover. It is still not confirmed whether or not other Android N devices from other manufacturers will get this new looking nav-buttons.
The colorful home button in the new navigation bar has apparently got some animation that kicks in when the button is long-pressed. The different colors expand in their particular directions and then file out in a horizontal fashion. It may be hard to imagine the animation right now in our minds, but sounds really cool. The navigation buttons are also opaque now.
Apart from the image and that animation information, we don’t have anything else to share right now. It will be great if Google decides to bring this new Android navigation bar to all the Nexus devices, and it will be even better if all the Android N phones and tablets get these modified and more cool-looking navigation buttons.
