The Daily Show’s Trevor Noah hosted the second Bing Agency Awards Thursday evening at the Capitale in New York City. More than 350 industry experts dressed in black tie came to honor the individuals and teams behind some of the most creative work in the search industry.
I’m not one to tout the achievements of agencies or companies, but the deeper the search industry attaches to a variety of technologies such as artificial intelligence, the more critical it will become for brands to link with knowledgeable agency partners.
Here are the ones that Bing acknowledged from across the Americas in 15 categories. The award winners were selected based on their achievements and excellence in each category.
Jeremy Hull, vice president of innovation at iProspect, took the executive of the year, awarded to an agency executive who had done an exceptional job championing the search industry.
Colette Trudeau, vice president of performance media at Spark Foundry, took the honors for Bing Ads Trailblazer of the Year, awarded to an individual who in an innovative and engaging way evangelizes Bing Ads and drive awareness.
The lifetime achievement award went to David Gould, chief delivery officer at Performics Worldwide, for his lasting and significant impact on the search advertising industry.
The remainder of the awards went to teams. Mindshare for Volvo in the U.S. picked up the Account team of the year award. Reprise Media took the Growth agency of the year in the U.S. iCrossing took the award for Independent agency of the year in the U.S.
Spark Foundry took the award for Innovator of the year, awarded to an agency demonstrating an innovative use of Bing Ads. Optimizer of the year went to LQ Digital; Partner of the year, Resolution Media; and Philanthropist of the year, Seer Interactive.
Accreditation champion of the year based on the Bing Ads March Match Up contest went to Sapient Razorfish in the United States and Catalyst in Canada.
iProspect took the Agency of the year award in Canada, Blinks in Brazil, and Spark Foundry in the United States.
