DuckDuckGo, the privacy-focused search engine, announced on Tuesday that Apple will now power its address and map searches on mobile and desktop.

Apple has a JavaScript library called MapKit JS framework. It lets developers add interactive maps to web pages. DuckDuckGo is one of the first companies to rely on the data.

Apple Maps will serve up directions and mapping content in DuckDuckGo, embedded in private search results as well as in the Maps tab on any search results page.

“At DuckDuckGo, we believe getting the privacy you deserve online should be as simple as closing the blinds,” the company wrote in a blog post.

The company also said it is excited to work with Apple and feels that the deal sets a new standard of trust online. It also wants feedback from users to help improve searches.

DuckDuckGo says the deal with Apple provides improved address searches, additional visual features, and enhanced satellite imagery. It also continually updates the maps.

Meanwhile, DuckDuckGo did not reveal the terms of the deal, but Apple’s website  explaining the use of its MapKit, notes a daily limit of 250,000 map views and 25,000 service calls.
