Battlefield 1 is the latest installment in the critically acclaimed Battlefield series. The game is one of the most successful shooter titled of 2016, as it sold millions of copies worldwide in the first month of its release. Because of the success Battlefield 1 got, majority of fans were expecting to see another Battlefield game soon, in 2017. However, it seems that EA currently has no interest in making another Battlefield game anytime soon.

EA Has No Plans To Work On Another Battlefield Game 

During a recent interview with DigitalTrends, EA confirmed that they currently have no plans to work on another Battlefield game. This was confirmed by EA’s chief financial officer, Blake Jorgensen, who told DigitalTrends that DICE will currently focus on improving Battlefield 1. He stated that DICE will try to remove all the bugs and issues from Battlefield 1, and they will then think about focusing on the next Battlefield game.

Despite the fact that it’s an old game, EA is still working on improving Battlefield 4. Because millions of players play it every month, EA is currently trying its best to remove all the issues and bugs players have been complaining about. Shortly after its release, Battlefield 4 was filled with bugs and glitches. However, DICE has now removed majority of bugs from the game, and thousands of players enjoy it every day.

EA’s Next Project 

The next project of EA is Star Wars Battlefront 2, which is set to arrive in Fall 2017. It is a sequel to the 2015 video game, Star Wars Battlefront, which was criticized for its lack of content. However, fans currently believe that Star Wars Battlefront 2 will be better than its prequel in every way.

On the other hand, 2016 was definitely a great year for EA as both Battlefield 1 and the newly released title, Titanfall 2 were a big success. Titanfall 2 is the sequel to the 2014 video game, Titanfall. Unlike the previous installment, Titanfall 2 was released for the PS4, which is the very reason why majority of fans loved it. Along with Battlefield 1, the game was definitely one of the best shooter titles of 2016.

Battlefield 1 was released on October 21, 2016 for the PC, PS4 and Xbox One. The game takes place in the much demanded WW1 era. It is the fifteenth major installment in the Battlefield series. As for now, EA has no plans to work on another Battlefield game, but we will definitely see another installment in the year after the next.
