Kratos’ child in God of War is called Atreus
The name of the child is Atreus, and it was found by Twitter client Fabiano Banin. It was covered up in the subtle elements of the MP3 document of the E3 Overture distributed recently by Sony Santa Monica. It incorporated “An Introduction to Kratos and Atreus.”
The setting of God of War is Norse. However, Atreus happens to be a Greek myth. Atreus was a Greek King, Agamemnon’s father indeed. He knew Tantalus. He was initially banished with his twin in the wake of killing his relative and all the typical stuff followed. Tragically it would appear that this is just a name and nothing more at this point.
The name Atreus can be found in Greek mythology. It is ascribed to the lord of Mycenae who was additionally father of Agamemnon and Menelaus. Both of whom are broadly included in Homer’s Iliad and Odyssey as leaders of the Greek armed forces were attacking Troy.
Barlog said a few months prior that he was battling with picking a name. It’s very far-fetched that Kratos’ child could be that Atreus. It’s more plausible that we’re taking a gander at a totally unique character.
