Google starts releasing live Android Instant Apps
BuzzFeed, Wish, Periscope and Viki are the first Android apps released with Android Instant App availability.
Google has announced the release of several apps that sport the new Android Instant Apps feature. This allows Android users to use an Android app without having to install it from the Play store.
Google demonstrated it back at Google I/O last year.
Google has allowed a few publishers to launch these in the real Android world as a live test. These publishers include BuzzFeed, Wish, Periscope and Viki. These live tests will allow Google to collect “user feedback and iterating on the product.”
Android Instant Apps starts initial live testing
Android Instant Apps was previewed at Google I/O last year as a new way to run Android apps without requiring installation. Instant Apps is an important part of our effort to help users discover and run apps with minimal friction.
