Businesses continue to rely more heavily on social media. This week, GoDaddy added an option that allows people using its platform to integrate with Instagram.

This latest update to the marketing dashboard allows users to schedule and monitor a company’s Instagram account.

Customers can now preview and post images and stories directly to Instagram, share products for sale within Instagram posts, keep track of Instagram comments and views, and schedule Instagram posts for the future.

While the dashboard in Websites + Marketing simplifies the process of posting and managing, it also offers content suggestions to help businesses expand their social followings to bring in more business.

Keisha Montague, founder of Affinity One — an event planning and party favor design firm in Huntsville, Alabama — believes having the ability to create content and share it to all social media sites with a few clicks through GoDaddy saves her time. Montague told GoDaddy that before having the ability to update her posts from one dashboard, she spent as much as three times the amount of time on crafting and pushing her social promotions.

Yum Brands — which owns restaurants KFC and Taco Bell — bought a social media ordering platform in its second tech deal this month to boost digital sales. Israel startup Tictuk lets customers order food while on social media and messaging apps.

“As we navigate a consumer landscape reshaped by the events of 2020, we continue to intensify our focus on leveraging our scale and reinforcing our growth model with investments in digital and technologies to enhance the customer and employee experience, strengthen restaurant unit economics and enable our brands and franchisees to compete and win in a rapidly changing world,” stated David Gibbs, CEO at Yum.

The company said it successfully deployed Tictuk’s platform in approximately 900 KFC, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell restaurants in 35 countries outside of the U.S. It plans to scale and offer Tictuk’s omnichannel ordering and marketing capabilities to more markets and franchisees globally to deliver ways for consumers to access its brands through social media and other conversational commerce channels.
