In case, you are one of the hundreds of thousands of users using Kodi on your Android TV, you will be glad to know that the next major update of the app will bring support for voice search and Leanback suggestions.
This essentially implies that Kodi, after the new release, will fill the home screen of your Android TV with content suggestions from within your library. This feature is much akin to how Google Play Movies or YouTube bring you various suggestions based on factors such as relevancy and your past viewing habits.
The addition of voice search also means that now you can ask the app to play anything in your Kodi library using Android TV’s native Google search feature. Note that doing so won’t display results from add-ons. Watch the video at the bottom of this article for a better perspective about these new additions.
Also, worth mentioning that the new features will be activated in the forthcoming Kodi 18 release.
