Lenovo K4 Note Android 6.0 Marshmallow, How to Update, New Features
Lenovo K4 Note is one of the best budget smartphones of this year. Released with Android Lollipop earlier this year, the phone is now getting Android Marshmallow update. Yes, you heard it right! Lenovo India has announced on Twitter that the Lenovo K4 Note Marshmallow update is now rolling out.
So how to update? It’s easy. The update is rolling out in phases and will reach your device soon. Once you get an OTA update notification, open it and install the update. Do remember that Marshmallow update is a large update weighing around 1664 MB, so it is recommended that you download the WiFi. In case you don’t want to wait for the update notification, you can manually check for the update by going to the Software Update section in Settings.
As for the changes, the new Marshmallow update for the Lenovo K4 Note bumps up the software version number to Android 6.0. It brings new Marshmallow features like Doze, new app permissions, Google Now on Tap, etc. We expect the new Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS to come wrapped in Lenovo’s Vibe UI skin.
Before the Lenovo K4 Note, the company has already rolled out the Marshmallow update to five other phones including the Vibe X3, Vibe P1, Vibe S1, A7000, and K3 Note. Of course, the Marshmallow update comes late as Google is preparing to launch Android N soon this year. But still, better late than never, and Lenovo is at least providing the update while many other Chinese manufacturers abandon their devices after launching them.
