We know that Microsoft’s Continuum feature lets us use Windows smartphones as a computer by connecting keyboard, mouse, and a display to it. This surely made Android users jealous, but thankfully, an independent developer team has been working to bring a similar feature to Android smartphones as well. And finally, their efforts have paid off, as MaruOS for Nexus 5 has been released.

Just like its name suggests, MaruOS is a full operating system that is currently available only for the Nexus 5. It basically installs on your device beside Android 5.1 Lollipop, and when you connect the phone to a screen, Debian GNU/Linux boots up and transforms your Android device into a desktop. You can install any apps you want, though you will be limited by the RAM and storage of your device. Internet on it works through your cellular data or WiFi. Navigation can be done using Bluetooth keyboard and mouse.
