Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 Ti Benchmarked Before Launch; Here are the Details
With just a few days left to its launch, the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 Ti made an appearance on a benchmark. The card is expected to be launched in the last week of the month and the company should be pressing on the final testing of the card before it hits the shelves. The benchmarks of the GTX 1070 Ti have leaked on the AotS database in a first such incident.
The scoop comes from the Wccftech, that was able to take the screenshot of the benchmark listing before it could be taken down. The benchmark might not be as helpful but it does show where the GTX 1070 Ti card stands among its siblings and Vega cards from AMD.
As per the leaked listing, the card scored 6200 points which makes it sit right above the GTX 1070, where it should be. To get the test done, the rig used comprised of a deca-core Core i9-7900X processor and a display resolution of 2560 x 1440. The GTX 1070 Ti was able to perform pretty well with the 1440p preset.
The framerate in the normal batch can be seen to be 87, which is comparable to some of the GTX 1080 cards and is better than the 1070 series. The average framerate for the heavy batch is 52.4, while the average of all the batches is respectable 65.5.
There are a lot of complex tech running underneath to get that kind of performance. According to the leaked specifications of the card, the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 Ti will use the GP104-300 GPU and will have 7.2 billion transistors. 8GB GDDR5 memory will be present on the card along with its 2432 CUDA cores.
Nvidia will ship the card with 1607MHz of base clock speed with a boost speed of 1683MHz. Some of the reports have suggested that the card cannot be overclocked, while some say otherwise. We hope the company to clear the air once the card goes official. The TDP of the GTX 1070 Ti will be 180W, in case you’re wondering.
The leaks have revealed that the announcement of the card will be made on October 26 and it will go on sale on November 2. The price of the card has been suggested to be $429, that makes it fall between the GTX 1070 and the GTX 1080.
