Periscope launches live 360 video broadcasting
Get a 360° experience alongside Periscope broadcasters with new 360 Live video streaming.
For social media networks, 2016 has been the year that live video took off.
Facebook, Twitter and Instagram have made serious announcements and upgrades to their live offerings, and Periscope/Twitter is rounding the year off with a bang. Certain Periscope users will now have the ability to broadcast live 360 videos out to the community.

The live videos work similar to other standard 360 integrations where users can physically rotate (or swipe/drag) to see the full scope of a moment. Any live 360 videos will be marked with a red “LIVE 360” badge in the bottom left.
The 360 videos can currently be viewed by all users, but only a select group of partners are eligible to broadcast. A form exists if you’d like to sign up to join the Periscope 360 waitlist. Periscope has stated that this feature will be rolling out more broadly in the coming weeks.
