Pontus Vision, a UK-based RegTech company serving financial institutions and governments, has debuted a product to help clients comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) — Pontus Vision GDPR.

The open-source software solution enables firms to search for customer data and access it in a single view, the company says.  

In addition, Pontus Vision GDPR constantly extracts and tracks all of the personal data that the business holds on its customers. This allows data protection officers to collate and analyze all data on a client.

Data protection officers can also respond quickly to GDPR-related subject access requests an make privacy impact assessment, the company claims. This can be done even when the data is stored in different siloed locations and formats, it adds.  

The tool was built “following an engagement with the UK Government,” states Leonardo Martins, founder of Pontus Vision.
