The latest edition of Pixalate’s quarterly tracking of ads.txt adoption shows a propensity for ad fraud in non-ads.txt inventory.
The data, from Pixalate’s Second Quarter Ads.txt Report, shows markedly higher rates of invalid traffic for inventory sold through sites not utilizing the industry’s ads.txt standard.
The overall difference during the second quarter was about a 10% higher percentage of invalid traffic, but the margin spiked 16% in June.
