MegaBots, Inc., a crew of american engineers who last month challenged Japan’s Suidobashi Heavy business to a robotic duel, has launched a Kickstarter marketing campaign to lift cash to construct its fight bot.

“crew u.s.” is in quest of at the least $500,000 to upgrade its 12,000-pound robot’s armor, weapons, and energy gadget, in keeping with the crew’s Kickstarter web page, which claims the duel may be the “world’s first giant robot struggle.”

In an interview with The Verge, MegaBots cofounder Gui Cavalcanti stated, “We need to construct probably the most patriotic robotic ever.”
