Well, it looks like the rumors were true, as we have got some information that suggests that we might see the Xiaomi laptop release next month!

A Chinese tipster @Mocha RQ has posted some new details about the Xiaomi notebook on the Chinese microblogging site Weibo today. The post is very small and concise and says that the Xiaomi laptop is going to be released this summer itself, and the launch event will be held in around a month. This suggests that the first ever Xiaomi notebook might be launched in July 2016, that’s next month!

The tipster has a decent past record of providing accurate leaks, and considering that this information matches with the previous rumors, it could be completely true. And if it’s true, then fans should really get excited because Xiaomi will surely introduce high-end specs in its laptops at surprisingly affordable prices.

Previous leaks had suggested that there could be two different models of the Xiaomi laptop running Core i5 and Core i7 processors with a starting price of around $450. A display size of around 13.3-inches and a design similar to Apple’s MacBook lineup is what the rumors suggest.

Now that Xiaomi is expanding its reach to the notebook market, big players like Lenovo, Dell, and even Apple should be worrying about their sales figures and market share. Also, with the rumors suggesting powerful Skylake processors, Apple might have a tough competitor for its MacBook Pro 2016 notebooks, at least the 13-inch model.
